London Stadium catering company announces losses

US catering company Delaware North accounts have published their financial accounts at companies house this week for 2018 which includes the first full second of their 25 year London Stadium contract.

The subsidiary that runs the London Stadium catering contract on behalf of operator LS185 says that turnover increased by 9.7% from £37m in 2016 to £40.6m in 2018. They reveal a gross profit of £29.7m but after administrative expenses, they reveal net loss for the year is £797,000.

The group turnover for the caterer in the U.K is up by £3.3m to £88.8m for 2018. Gross profit for the group is £65.2 but the recorded loss for the group of £1.9m.

The American-owned company delivers catering and hospitality services at Wembley Stadium and a number of stadia for UK football clubs, including Emirates (Arsenal), Pride Park (Derby County), the Valley (Charlton Athletic) and Craven Cottage (Fulham) London Stadium (West Ham) and the Ricoh Stadium (Coventry)

The US parent company Delaware North Inc has a global turnover of $3.2bn (£2.47bn)
