London Stadium Cup game marred by arrest

|

West Ham’s Betway Cup pre-season friendly win at the London Stadium in front of 30,000 fans was marred by one supporter who was arrested for being drunk and disorderly and assaulting two emergency workers.

Most supporters were well behaved during the Hammers two-nil win over Atalanta but there is always the one who spoils it for others.

West Ham designated Met Police Office Andy Sheldon revealed the male supporter has now been charged with being drunk and disorderly and assault on two emergency workers. He will appear in court in a few weeks time at which Met Police will apply for a football banning order should he decide to plead guilty.

If found guilty he will also face an indefinite ban from West Ham and the London Stadium as is the normal club and stadium procedure.

Another supporter was also ejected from the London Stadium for being drunk and disorderly but was not arrested nor charged.

If true just ban them for life, have been supporting our club for nearly 50 years and seen all the racism, homophobia and hooliganism over the years imho zero tolerance is the best way forward, the sooner we lose these muppets that are dragging us back the better.
