Magnificent Irons give performance of season

|

Irons 1 Liverpool 1

Antonio grabbed the vital goal

By Hugh Southon

And that ladies and gentlemen is why we support this marvelous old club of ours.

This game had the lot! After two utterly shocking performances, Manuel Pellegrini demonstrated that he knows exactly how to motivate the lads who put in an utterly compelling shift.

But lets get this right Mane’s first goal should have been ruled out for clear offside in the build up and in the dying seconds Origi missed a sitter when again bang offside.

The officials took a 1 out of 10 and that was for turning up.

We were brilliant in the first half with Antonio scoring AGAIN against the scousers  – that’s five – with a great diagonal shot.

Cresswell fired wide…Chicharito fired wide and in the middle Declan looks more like Mooro with every successive match.

On one occasion he cut out a dangerous attack, strode forward and passed into the box where none of our forward could get the ball out of their feet.

They were all magnificent and to demonstrate that amount of endeavour and attacking intent against such a side was truly wonderful.

We are back and can look forward to Palace and Fulham but the question is will there be room for Arnie – one thing is for sure though Samir Nari will improve us again.

This match demonstrated why football is the world’s greatest game. It had everything – passion, skill, determination and total commitment.

Not one Iron left anything out there at all – they all ran to the last drop of sweat – we ask for nothing more.

Thank you West Ham – every one of you. For me the performance of the season.

It was very good but I don’t think we should be getting this excited after what we do after a good performance we go and play no sort of game against lower teams In. Our next 3 and if that happens again then tonight will mean nothing again…sorry but we have been here before.. I will gladly join you if we win our next game ..but let’s see đź‘€ first I think..

Great team performance, pleased with the point, however we had the chances to win that one tonight!,, rice should have put that header away, and Nobes had a good Chance second half. All that said well pleased. I even like the look of fredericks tonight. However we must build on his at Palace with a win or very least draw.

watching Klopps interview, they start talking about Liverpools injury issues and how they have their right back injured. Beggers belief, we should have beaten the leaders of the premier league without Arnie,Lanzini, Yarmolenko, Balbuena and all the other spare parts. Going to bed happy but still in disbelief

Great stuff. We now at last seem able to retain the ball in midfield & win it back. Well, in some games…

Regarding the officials. Thought I had seen it all & had accepted that AC has no future in the game partly because he will be penalised for every aerial challenge he makes. But last night he came on & ws immediately challenged from behind & flattened as he went for a high ball. Verdict-foul by Carroll. Incredible. The refs are a law unto themselves & they now interpret the rules to make life easier for themselves, not better for the fans. They need sorting out.
