The pursuing pack chasing Crysencio Summerville‘s signature blossomed as soon as the winger took to the World Cup stage. Two goals in two games has enhanced the Flying Dutchman’s standing as half a dozen top Premier League sides run the rule over the winger.

Arsenal, Liverpool Tottenham and Manchester United have been linked with Summerville, as have PSG and AS Roma in the last week since the window opened. However it seems the number within the chasing pack has todaydiminished, as a report today suggests one Champions League club has decided to walk away from Summerville’s pursuit.

Crysencio Summerville chips the ball into the Burnley goal

Summerville has been attracting huge transfer interest but won’t – apparently – be heading to Liverpool after all.

According to team talk.com’s journalist James Holland, ”

£50m Liverpool winger chase OVER as ‘agreement’ struck with superior target”,

Suggesting that:

“Liverpool will not act on their interest in West Ham United ace Crysencio Summerville, as they have five other forward targets in mind, and they are pressing hard to land their No 1 objective, according to reports…

The Reds are no longer actively planning a move for Summerville and would rather sign one of Yan Diomande (RB Leipzig), Bradley Barcola (Paris Saint-Germain), Yankuba Minteh (Brighton & Hove Albion), Said El Mala (Koln) or Matias Fernandez-Pardo (Lille).”

Which narrows the field slightly, but, worryingly from West Ham fans’ perspective, both Summerville and Fernandes appear by all reports to be ‘favouring’ Tottenham Hotspur for some inexplicable reason.

Logic tells us that certainly in Fernandes’ case, this is all likely part of Nuno’s  super agent best pal Jorge Mendes‘ dark arts to extract top prices for his client, as explicitly flagged by Man U site the peoplesperson.com:

“...There is a growing sense in M16 that the noise around Fernandes is being primarily driven by Mendes, who has a well-earned reputation for extracting maximum value for his clients through these exact tactics

A dizzying array of options appear to be on the table for the two Hammers’ stars, but as yet concrete bids to E20 reman conspicuous by their absence.

From the old Bobby Moore Upper to the Billy Bonds' stand these days - sometimes- have to admit I have not renewed my season ticket... I've been watching since '03 and a supporter since about 1970..
Favourite player - Dean Ashton: Still watch YouTube repeats of the Cup Final of 2006 hoping in vain that Shaka Hislop grows six inches and stops Steven Gerrard's injury time equaliser. Can tell I'm getting old knowing I saw both Mark Noble's debut and his last game at West Ham.
Pulling on a Claret and Blue replica shirt still makes me feel the same butterflies as when I was seven years old. Magic.
