Suggestions that West Ham could sign Manchester United midfielder Andreas Pereira this summer have been dismissed as a non-starter by a club insider this morning. The Red Devils are said to be willing to part ways with Pereira in order to help fund a move for Ajax midfielder Donny van de Beek who is valued at £44m.
So in order to free up the funds and create a space in his squad to move for Van de Beek, or potentially Havertz instead it is claimed that Solskjaer is willing to sell Brazilian midfielder Pereira for £25m.
The Belgian-born 24-year-old was becoming a more prominent member of the current United set-up this season, making 23 Premier League appearances. The Brazil international also signed a new £45,000-a-week four-year deal last summer, and has been a much-needed back-up option due to the injuries of Paul Pogba and Scott McTominay.
The Daily Mirror claims claim Newcastle, Everton and West Ham are all understood to be interested in him.
