More details come to light after the fast-paced moves out of West Ham HQ in the last 24 hours. Nuno’s sacking by telephone, the departing manager specifically not being allowed to visit the training ground to say his farewells to players – and several other ‘nuggets’ are revealed today as information slowly seeps its way into the public domain.
As the first video emerges showing Scott Parker’s meeting with his squad this morning, journalist Roshane Thomas in the NY Times provides insight into the demise of Nuno, the appointment of his successor and the very role which Mr West Ham himself Mark Noble, the Hammers’ Sporting Director, played in Parker’s appointment:
“Board members initially pitched for Parker to be Nuno’s replacement in the summer.. John Heitinga [Former Tottenham and West Ham assistant coach] … was considered as a potential successor, but Noble was among those who lobbied for Parker.…An irate Nuno broke the analysis whiteboard after the 2-2 season opener against Burnley….
Noble had encouraged Kretinsky to appoint Parker, who he played alongside for four years.”

Mark Noble – convinced Kretinsky to appoint Parker and is now- reportedly – to be one of the Head Coach’s permanent assistant coaches.
And in a new twist this afternoon, Social media outlets are now suggesting, yet to be 100% confirmed, that Mark Noble will be at Parker’s side full time as a permanent assistant to the head coach.
Parker told West Ham’s media in his first interview that that :“I can’t do this on my own. Nobes will be absolutely fundamental, not just to me, but everyone at the club, because he’s hugely respected. When he speaks, people listen.”
Problem with mark is he is overly obsessed with academy players remember he wanted west ham to turn down £20 million for grady diagana a player who really wasn’t very good. Academy players will not get us out of the championship.
