The legendary Irons striker believes that Eddie Howe – whose Bournemouth beat us last weekend – would have been the best choice for the job.

Talkingin the new ClaretandHugh Interview section of MooreThanJustAPodcast  Macca said: “The boy at Bournemouth would have been my choice – Eddie Howe.

“They get the ball down and play – he has them all playing and believing. I think he would have been good for West Ham.”

Sky Sports saying that Juve have decieded not to loan us Zaza i saw on their site.Ffs!!! This is getting stupid & worrying as to who the hell we will end up with *sigh*

  • Dainon says:

He revealed that on this site BEFORE Slaven was chosen… ahead of the game

Eddie Howe was my 1st choice as well but I’m happy with Slaven

  • johnboy says:

Slav was my choice without a doubt.
How’s has had time with his team where as Bilic has had 5 minutes with the team,
Eliminate the mistakes and we win on Saturday, but that’s irelivant to the choice of macca,
That’s his choice and Bilic is 80% ish of the supporters choice , means nothing really ,
Bilic is manager and we should all get behind him , if I’m honest I think the remark is in
bad taste , should have kept that one to himself .

  • slaven a laugh says:

We all know bilic wasn’t top of the wanted list but now is not the time.

  • West Ham Fan No 32 says:

I like the way Bournemouth play, Eddie Howe reminds me a lot of Martinez but I think it was too big of a gamble, remember that Howe went to Burnley and that really didn’t work out, at WHU he would have inherited a similar type of player so although I agree the type of football Bournemouth play would have been great I am not sure we had the squad or would have been able to attract the players to play that style. Look at the issues Slav is having trying to get them to adapt their game, would we be as patient with Howe ?
