Michail Antonio left Nottingham Forest as their highest-rated player with a WhoScored.com rating of 7.56, making him the ninth best in the Championship last season.
The 25 year old biggest strength is his ability to get on the ball and run at the defence. Once he’s gained a head of steam, the former Forest star is tough to stop, having completed more successful dribbles (123) than any other player in the last two Championship seasons, reinforcing his statistically calculated strength of “dribbling.” In that time, Antonio has netted an impressive 16 league goals and registered a further 13 assists, so he is not one to aimlessly run down blind allies and needlessly sacrifice possession. Impressive stats for the £6 million transfer day signing.
Sure will be interesting to see who is picked and how we play on Monday night would be great to see some real width, Bilic now has the options to attack from all directions when you add Carroll to the equation you have fast wide, fast through the middle and the biggest aerial threat in the league depending on who is picked, this season scoring goals doesn’t seem to be an issue at home its more how many we concede that has been the problem 🙂 lets hope Bilic gets it right I have no clue who he will pick or how they will play but I am really looking forward to finding out has been 20 years or more since I felt that way about most games we play COYI !!
I think we should all remember these stats. as impressive as they are, were achieved playing in the Championship, not the PL, so, until he actually plays, there’s still a ? to be answered before we all get carried away. Hopefully, he will prove to be another Cresswell,
this boy on one side, Moses on the other, is enough to scare the life out of any defence. And when you add payet in the 10 role with Carroll and or sakho in front of him I think we could be talking about one of the most attacking teams Weve ever seen.
