Moyes and that points survival target

|

david-moyesDavid Moyes is refusing to set a points survival target as the Hammers  continue their upward curve.

Some claim that a point a game is sufficient as a rule but Moyes declared: “I think 40 will always be the magic figure although I have set no targets.

I might stand corrected, there may have been an odd year when 40 was not enough but over the years it was the magic figure.

It may not take that this year, I don’t know, but I think the sooner you get to it then the better chance you have of staying in the league.”

And the manager was cautious when asked about the latest run of games which most believe gives us an excellent chance of getting out of trouble.

He said: “It sounds easy but all the managers in this half of the league will be thinking there’s no easy games.

After playing Bournemouth, the Irons will take on Crystal Palace, Brighton and Hove Albion, and Watford in the Premier League.

And Moyes said: “Everyone is difficult and I’ve not seen anything to necessarily suggest that anyone is better than anyone else.

Does he not know that we were relegated with 42 points ?

He is right there are no easy games, Bournemouth are a decent team. Palace are solid now and Brighton embarrassed us, as for Watford who knows what they will do. I hope we get a few wins in those but we have struggled in games and have been prone to the odd terrible performance I.e Newcastle, Brighton, Everton etc
