Moyes believes West Ham have turned the corner

|

David Moyes makes no secret of the fact that he believes West Ham have turned a corner ahead of the game against Arsenal this weekend.

The three critical wins against Forest, Saints and Fulham have given the Irons elbow room in the relegation struggle.

There was of course the Newcastle debacle but that really was a terrible one off with defensive mistake after defensive mistake and is probably best forgotten

And anything at all against the Gooners would give the team a massive confidence boost as they go into the last lap of the seasons with the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City still to play.

Arsenal are going to be a terrific problem for sure and will be looking for a result after Liverpool came from behind to hold them to a 2-2 draw.

But Moyes remains confident and asked at a press conference ahead of this weekend’s derby against Arsenal if he felt he is turning things around, Moyes said: “I do. I think we are. I think we’re in a much better run of form.

“Were a bit up and down in some games, but overall if I took out the Newcastle game and the Brighton game, which I can’t take out, I’d think that defensively we’ve been pretty solid, we’ve won a few games, so I’m quite happy with that.”

He said: “The fans have been huge for us over many seasons.

“These have been the games in which we’ve needed them and hopefully we get the backing of them again this week.”

    He ‘s dreaming surely?

  • PhilA says:

No surprise he thinks that …deluded and arrogant manager who has won next to nothing and has scant regard for the fans.

Does he really think he is playing attractive football ….it’s awful to watch.

I don’t care if he wins ECL or keeps us up (for the latter he is paid a lot of money to exceed this pathetic performance level).

He has to be dismissed at the end of the season if not earlier …..
