Moyes can play big two against Arsenal

|

David Moyes faces what seems a straightforward selection decision over Lucas Paqueta and Edson Alvarez for tomorrow evening’s Carabao Cup clash at the London Stadium.

There is little doubt they would have both been missing had they not been suspended for the game against Brentford at the weekend.

But given that scenario there is no reason at all why they should not be included in a game which could see Declan Rice’s first return to the Hammers since joining Arsenal.

With our League form looking poor and Arsenal not having lost a domestic game this season hopes can’t be unduly high for a result although it’s doubtful the Gooners will send anything other than a B team.

It now remains to be seen how seriously the Hammers boss will take the Carabao Cup and I expect his team to look something like this: Fabianski or Areola; Kehrer, Marropanos, Aguerd, Cresswell, Alvarez,  Soucek, Paqueta, Ward-Prowse, Kudus, Bowen.
