Moyes cards close to chest as kick off approaches

|

David Moyes continues to play his cards close to his chest as kick off approaches for tonight big FA Cup fifth round tie at Old Trafford.

Reports from the club on the official match blog claim he’s still hopeful Michail Antonio will be available and there is the merest chance he may have been operating smoke and mirrors on the striker although personally I doubt it.

He will undergo, or has already undergone, a late fitness test according the report which can surely only be on a hamstring – no fitness test would be required for tiredness or fatigue.

Goalkeeper Darren Randolph has been out for the last five matches with a knock picked up in training, while left wing-back Arthur Masuaku is on the road to recovery following knee surgery.

Loanee Jesse Lingard is unavailable, having played for Manchester United in their third-round win over Watford in January.

However, Tomáš Souček will thankfully be be available after his appeal against the red card he was shown at Fulham on Saturday was successful.

There have also been Twitter rumours that Declan Rice could miss the match – all will be revealed at 6.30pm!
