PSG interest in Lanzini inaccurate

|

Reports today that Paris St Germain moved for Manu Lanzini in the summer are inaccurate.

A story appeared in Footballer Insider today claiming that the French outfit attempted to take the Hammers midfielder to France on a loan move when failing to land Dele Ali.

But ClaretandHugh can reveal that the Hammers had no interest shown in Lanzini or any of their other players in the winter window beyond Sebastien Haller who was the biggest signing of the window when moving to Ajax.

Both Lanzini and Felipe Anderson would be available for sale in the summer should there be interest.

But in the current unstable market no price has been attached to them despite the report claiming they club wants between £10m-£15m for Lanzini.

The Hammers will need to raise cash should they choose – as expected – to make Jesse Lingard’s move to the London Stadium permanent and the Hammers would certainly be more interested in moving on Anderson before Lanzini.
