Moyes delighted as Fornals finally cracks it

Pablo Fornals yesterday took a huge step towards developing into the player David Moyes has been hoping and praying he would become .

As the players gathered after the game in the directors boss to get a special thank you from the directors for their fabulous season, Pablo had become the talk of the the boss and his squad.

The Spaniard has missed his share of chances this season but his brace yesterday had the boss beaming at the get together.

A member of the backroom staff who was also included in the post match gathering – along with many others – explained to CandH how Pablo’s final 90 minutes of the season had been a massive boost to the boss and the team.

Declan Rice  ‘s goal six minutes from time may have been the headline grabber but Pablo set himself up brilliantly for next season with two of his own.

And that had manager Moyes beaming as he had been looking for the Spaniard to develop a finishing edge all season.

And our source said: “The manager and the squad were so excited – they had all been looking for that throughout the season and with goals in his armoury Pablo will be one heck of a handful next season.”
