Who West Ham could face in Europa League

West Ham are one of thirty two teams in the slimmed down Europa League group stage.

The group stages comprise of six domestic cup winners from associations 1–6 (6 places)

One domestic league fourth-placed team from association 5 (one place)

Four domestic league fifth-placed teams from associations 1–4

UEFA coefficient rankings

1, Spain

2. England

3. Germany

4. Italy

5. France

6. Portugal

Eintracht Frankfurt finished fifth in the Bundesliga

Braga finished fourth in the Premiera Liga

Real Sociedad finished fifth in La Liga

Leicester City finished fifth in the Premier League

Lyon finished fourth in Ligue 1

Napoli finished fifth in Serie A

Dortmund won the German Cup but qualified for Champions League so their spot should go to sixth-placed Bayer 04 Leverkusen

Braga won the Portuguese domestic cup but qualified for Champions League so their place should go to sixth-placed Santa Clara

Barcelona won the Copa Del Rey so their place should go the Real Betis who finished sixth.

Juventus won the Coppa Italia meaning Lazio who finished sixth will take their spot.

Leicester City won the FA Cup meaning their place went to West Ham in sixth place.

Locomotive Moscow also enters the group stage for finishing third in the Russian Premier League.

The remaining places in the group stages will be made up of those who progressed through the qualifying stages.
