Moyes drools over Iron

|

David Moyes believes that any striker in the world would want to play alongside Lucas Paqueta.

The Brazilian striker moved to the club from Lyon in the summer, and has already started to impress with the Irons.

He laid on a brilliant assist in midweek, sending the ball through to Gianluca Scamacca, who swivelled to score a superb goal.

And he repeated the trick this week, as he found the Italy international again, and he lobbed Bernd Leno in the Fulham net.

There have also been flashes of genuinely sensational skill, with his range of passing also impressing.

And Moyes believes that the Brazilian is so good, any player would want to be in his team.

Speaking after the game, as per Football.London, Moyes told reporters: “If you are any centre forward, you are going to want to play with Paqueta. I thought today Paqueta did some things that were brilliant and some things that weren’t as good.”

Paqueta is still getting up to speed in the league but games are coming thick and fast, with the Hammers back in action in midweek against Anderlecht, prior to playing Southampton in the league.

We are shaping up, but need a style change perhaps? I enjoyed the skills and determination against Fulham, once we took action down our right against the flying wing play. But again I didn’t like our inability to counter attack through midfield. We kept losing possession! I honestly question Soucek and to a degree Fornals – currently a lot of game by-passes them in both directions. I think it’s time to play Flynn with Dec in DCM for a start
