David Moyes has been discussing the team’s problems with his ‘inner sanctum’ of three senior players – Mark Noble, Andy Carroll and Pablo Zabaleta.
He took them aside during his first three days at the club and the Sunday Times reports he was delighted with their “appetite to turn things round.” They insisted the players are willing to work hard during the training sessions.
All three players have been important members of the first-team this season but they have all struggled to deliver good performances on a consistent basis.
Moyes is reportedly delighted to hear that the West Ham squad have “locked the dressing-room door and held their own inquest in the wake of defeats.”
Reports coming off the training ground are also positive according to our own sources with the players responding brilliantly to the intensity introduced by the Moyes management team.
And Declan Rice has added: ““The manager had us doing double sessions on Wednesday and that was really tough but we know how he’s going to work and the boys, myself included, are really looking forward to it.”
