Moyes/Newman recruitment policy under threat

I read this morning that Rob Newman’s position is under threat because of the poor showing of this season’s recruits, and David Moyes influence over recruitment will be reduced! 😳
Hughie of CandH  mentioned Aguerd as a partial success, I would add Paqueta to that short list after an unimpressive start – largely due to Moyes team setup!
Flynn Downes has done well during his rare appearances, but has been almost criminally underused! 🤔

Moyes treatment of Ings almost sadistic

Of the rest it’s fair to say they have been very disappointing; Scamacca and Cornet have had their seasons ravaged by injury, but when they have played have largely been anonymous mainly due to Moyes’ team setup.
The same can be said about Ings, everyone knows he can’t play up on his own but Moyes persists doing this, it’s almost sadistic the way he’s been treated! 🙄
Kehrer and Aguerd are both internationals but have shown they are prone to the regular rickets, at times.
Aguerd can look very good but regularly lets himself down. Emerson looks good going forward but his defending leaves a lot to be required! 😳
All in all very disappointing recruitment! 🙄

I like all the players we bought. Can’t account for injured players of course. Nobody expected that otherwise we wouldn’t have bought them. Moyes and Newman won’t be given a penny more to spend until we know whether we are still going to be a premier league team and until we know if we will be back in the Europa league next year that’s not ticket science. Nobody would expect that not to the case. Difficult for Moyes to plan for next season given the circumstances but that’s just how it is.
