After a tough start to the Premier League, West Ham have settled down, and they appear to have turned a corner over the past couple of weeks despite last night’s Old Trafford failure.

Matching the exploits of last season was always going to be a tough ask, especially when they reached the Europa League semi-finals, with expectation levels were ratcheted up on the back of that.

Off the pitch, West Ham have been trying to make themselves a more sound and viable financial option. They have quickly built up a portfolio of global partners that includes Heineken and Umbro, with the latter being a principal partner.

However, their predominant sponsor is Betway, who are emblazoned on the home and away shirts, and they have been their sponsor for three years. It has been a largely fruitful relationship, especially when you consider the reputation that Betway has garnered.

Indeed, Betway is one of the biggest names in the world of sports betting, especially when you consider the success of its mobile product, and it has permeated its influence across the UK and Europe. Betway ranks highly when it comes to trusted sportsbooks and its reputation precedes itself. But Betway is an all-rounder, doubling up as a digital casino, and it is home to some of the top online slots in UK.

As far as West Ham are concerned, they are on an upward trajectory, and at the time of writing, they had won four and drawn one of their past five matches in all competitions.

Jarrod Bowen, in particular, has been a contributory factor and the England winger has been a revelation since he joined the club over two years ago.

The 25-year-old’s output is extraordinary given as a winger, and last season of course, he was the club’s top scorer with 18 goals wilst this season, he has notched  five.

But it seems like the Hammers, and more specifically, David Moyes has bigger plans for Bowen and he could be moved into a more central striking position in the future, discussing the player in the same breath as Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

When discussing how he sees Bowen evolving, Moyes said: “I see Jarrod, if you think of the best wingers, it might not be the right terminology, I think of all of the best wingers over the years, you have your Ronaldos and Messi’s nearly all of them became centre-forwards and goalscorers and I think Jarrod is going towards that and his career is going on, getting more towards being a forward player who wants to score goals.

“If you look at his goals last year and to be fair, if you look at his goals every year, his goals at [Hull] over two/three years, he has a really good goalscoring record over the years and for us, he’s been really consistent as well.”

While Bowen might not have hit his stride yet like he did last season, he is still a linchpin, and his form will be key if the Hammers are going to enjoy success domestically or in Europe this term.
