New doubt for the Hammers ahead of Chelsea

|
Mark-Noble-640914David Moyes has revealed that Declan Rice is the latest doubt for the Hammer after being laid up with flu for the last three days.
The manager was very cautious with team information ahead of the game but said: “Declan is the one who is looking like he could force his way into the first team, but he’s been off for three days with the flu this week, so he’s a bit doubtful.
“I said to him it’s a good sign if you’re not noticed as a centre-half as it means you’re doing a good job. That second goal he could have done better, with his concentration, and I said that to him and he knows that.
However, he refused to confirm whether Adrian saying: “I wouldn’t give the team out as I don’t want to help Chelsea. I have got the decision in my mind but I’ll keep it to myself.
“I’d always try to speak to the players. There are some occasions when I do and others when I don’t need to.”
And he was almost equally withdrawn on Mark Noble saying: Mark is influential and great around the club but he’s not guaranteed a place in the team. Nobody is. I’m going to pick the players who are in form.”
“I’m very confident we have a good squad and group of players, but we have to make sure we win games, though. Ultimately, we need to get results.
“I think the players know what’s at stake and know we will give them every opportunity, but they have to show when they get the chance, or we will use other people.”

Hope Rice is better we need him. And Adrian must start.
Moyes is on Rice none of our CBs let alone many others could have done anything about that 2nd goal it was world class.
We had some bad Referee decisions which Delph never got called up for or mentiomed in any Radio shows Podcast Sky BBC etc but Niasse made headlines for dive while running at dull speed and was actually contacted Delph was going slow & Rice didn’t touch him.
Rice covered for Zab w Sane & Ogbonna.
18yo Moyes being a lil Harsh but as long as he pushes him Rice can take it. Bilic pulled him came back from that fine.

Picking players ‘in form’ that’s novel – sounds like a good idea!

    I won’t go on…..

    • Dunlopilo says:

The idea is that nobody is untouchable with automatic starting place anymore (Hart, Carroll, Noble…). And that is “novel”, wouldn’t you agree ?

  • Hammer64 says:

Rice will be ok. He is young & fit. Three days to get over a touch of flu no problem. Probably man flu😀😀😀
