New times for London derbies

|

The Hammers rise as genuine top six contenders has again been recognised with two more games selected for broadcast.

Unsurprisingly they are two key matches against close London rivals Chelsea and Arsenal – matches we surely need to win – or at least get a result from -to ensure we stay in the race.

The Blues are in disarray from the Roman Abramovich scenario whilst the Gooners are in fourth place three points ahead of us with three games in hand,

Chelsea, meanwhile are 11 points ahead of us with a game in hand. However, it remains to be seen how their circumstances affect the squad and all is stillĀ  not lost.

With Spurs on the agenda following the game against Sevilla it means the Irons face London clubs in four games from the next six with Brentford away on the 9th of April.

Everton on the Burnley and 3rd and Burnley on the 16th are the other two matches on our agenda in that period.

The Hammers will now travel to Stamford Bridge for a 2pm BST kick-off on Sunday 24 April with the match being broadcast by Sky Sports in the UK.

This fixture’s date remains subject to change, should Chelsea be involved in a UEFA Champions League fixture on Tuesday 26 April.

The following weekend we host Arsenal at London Stadium, and that match will now be played at 4.30pm BST on Sunday 1 May, also shown live on Sky Sports in the UK.

Additionally, supporters should note that should we progress to the UEFA Europa League quarter-finals, our away game at Brentford and home match against Burnley will be subject to change
