West Ham have this morning unveiled their new away kit for the upcoming 2026/27 season.
And I have to say, it looks pretty damn good.
Truth be known, I’m never much of one for kit reveals, and I’m probably not the target market anyway.
But I have to admit, the simplicity and style of the new away shirt has got me thinking I might just get one.
A Simple Design That Works
As you’ll see from the images provided, it’s a very basic, slightly off-white shirt with everything else on the front in claret, including a simple pair of crossed hammers tastefully embroidered in place of the regular badge.
The new kit is, of course, the first away offering by New Balance and, for what we all hope will be just one season in the Championship, West Ham will continue with BoyleSports as the main shirt sponsor.
For those who don’t like a betting company emblazoned across the front, there is also a sponsorless option available for £75 from the club shop at WHUFC.com.
A Nod To West Ham’s Heritage
I must also say how nice it is to see Tomas Soucek and Jarrod Bowen featured so prominently in the promotional campaign.
It’s also clear the club are pointing back towards our heritage by having the pair pose in front of a West Ham flag displaying the previous crest.
For me, it’s a classy launch and, perhaps more importantly, a classy shirt.

Always like the white shirts without the sponsor (though the NB logo if a bit naff). But the best thing I saw about this shirt, is that its underlying stitched pattern is the same as the ceiling of the Boleyn Arms?? That’s a brilliant touch.
Maybe next year we can get one like the tabard of the old dears who used to serve the pie and mash at Nathans!
Ha ha. . . love that idea
Or perhaps a hologram of the toilet floor downstairs in Queens
Lovely simple design. Great badge of just crossed hammers. And the backdrop of the old badge is very clever too.
Are we actually starting to resemble something like ourselves again ?
Yes Bob.
It’s reminiscent of the FA cup final kit vs Arsenal.
We were promoted back to the top tier. Had a good season reaching the League cup final wearing the off white away strip.
Fingers crossed Bob mate
