Nobes: “It was a bad day at the office”

|

MarkNobleSkipper Mark Noble, the West Ham captain, – clearly bitterly disappointed – said: “We started so well and had three or four early chances.

“With a little more luck we could have taken the lead. But we were caught on the counter-attack a couple of times and it was a struggle from there. Swansea finished their chances really well.

“A bad day at the office, that’s what it was. It can happen in this league. Tuesday will be a special night and we will try to enjoy ourselves.”

    Just in.

Today was both shocking and bloody fantastic. Shocking in how poorly we played but fantastic to know that nothing ever changes with West Ham United.

It’s the West Ham DNA for something like what happened today. “LIKE MY DREAMS”

  • One Eye Jack says:

You are so right Stinger my friend.Just got home meself after a swift pint to dull things. It is good to know we are still West Ham.Never expected that today my fellow Claret & Blue warriors,it all went pear.I dare not go to WHTID or Wetpants as you rascals call it.I bet it is like a scene from the Wicker Man with Slaven & the team inside the man.We live to fight another day though, let’s hope we give those Mancs a good tanking in the week.Enjoy your evening boys.Always remember we have the best fans in the land & don’t let the grumpy buggers grind you down COYI

  • StanThe Man says:

Have a good evening too Jack.If you see flames you will know the wicker man has been set alight pal.

  • Stinger says:

After reading comments on certain other West Ham forums (mainly one named after a famous song) this is why I never want us to be come the next Chelsea or Man City. The over reaction to our first home loss since August, only our 7th league defeat all season is quite frankly pathetic and a joke.

We lost it happens. But regardless of what happens in the next two games, this has still be one of the most enjoyable seasons for us for a long time.

    Thanks Slaven.

  • StanThe Man says:

Well said Stinger.I think some people, especially ones from the famous song site as you call it lose all perspective sometimes. One defeat sends them off the cliff edge.Today I have read so much garbage from fellow fans it’s untrue.First home league defeat since August as you say & now we need half a new team & the manager hasnt a clue about tactics according to the wise monkeys.Bang on bud, pathetic & a joke.Imagine all teams have their fair share of these fans though who think they know everything ha

  • Stinger says:

Stan mate it’s a joke on there. Some are acting as if we have just been relegated. Some are now claiming they are worried about next season and where he will take us (FFS!!)

Lets just see what Slaven Bilic has done for us this season shall we.

Highest ever Premier League Points total. 2 games still yet to play.
Highest Top flight Points total since 1985/86
Highest Goals Total in the Premier League. 2 games still yet to play.
Our first ever Premier League plus goal difference
Top 8 guaranteed, perhaps 5th place and a Europa League place.
An amazing record against the “top reams” In fact Only 1 defeat all season V them.
Only 7 League defeats all season. No chance of losing double figures.
No one team has, nor can do the double over us this season
Wins at both Anfield and Goodison.
Unlike under Fat Sam, we have seen some cracking goals.

All this in his first season as a Premier League manager and all this despite shocking refereeing going against us time and time again.

But hay we lost today so lets get on his and the teams back. FFS!!
Perhaps the occasion of being the last ever Saturday game at the wonderful Boleyn affected the players. Who knows. But we lost and it happens.

I’m still proud. I have been a season ticket holder for 25 years. This is sadly also going to be my last due to lack of funds and the fact I simply could not afford the deposit back in October when my RS appointment was due.

So I want to say thanks to the team and the manager for making it one I will never forget and one of the most enjoyable in those 25 years.

    PROUD IRON!!!!!

  • The Illiterate Lama says:

Too right Stinger.Have quickly flicked on here before tubeing it home. When you read what we have done this season it has been so enjoyable.I can’t stomach the bullsh*t that gets said on the day of the match if we lose.I know we all support the same team but I f*cking hate some of our fans.I mean really hate them passionately. They are drama queens & total Pr*cks who don’t deserve a season like this.Over & out before I get in trouble with the Cyber police, haha.Maybe they want Hippo to return.Back to my beer 🙂

  • Billy the Hammer says:

Just a guess here Rad but I’m thinking you are in a bad mood, lol 🙂

  • RickHammer says:

Lmao, say it how it is Lama. Can I copy & paste your comment about some of our fans.I want to use it myself,I have the same feelings tonight about many of them.

  • canchaz says:

Was not just a bad day at the office, it was a bad day at the whole bloody company. Everything we were ‘knocking at the door’ for just disappeared and we’ll have to fight like hell and be damn lucky to boot to hang on to 6th, never mind going on about 5th and Europe.
If this had been Leicester or Arsenal, City or even Spurs, I could have at least, have understood. This is beyond understanding.
As for people going on about our great season, remember you are only as good as your last game. Maybe we can shake this off and finish the season with a couple of wins but it’s unlikely to matter

    • Stinger says:

You do still realise that we are 6th and finishing 6th will see us in Europe next season? of course it matters.

As for the season, its been one of our best for a long time. So we lost today, big deal. Don’t be suck a knicker wetter.

      • TysonM says:

Stinger ignore Chaz,he is a manic depressant. He is only happy spreading doom & gloom 😉

  • LAIRON says:

Personally I’m appalled that anyone can complain, so we #$@% up on a game, so what? I’m still beaming after seeing what I’ve seen this season! Get over it all you doubting Thomas’ & move on until Tuesday!!! COYI!!!
