Noble finds Ngakia’s decision very strange

|

West Ham captain Mark Noble says it finds Jeremy Ngakia departure from West Ham strange asking why a youngster would want to leave unless he had been offered big money elsewhere.

Noble writing in his column for the London Evening Standard: “Jeremy’s exit was a strange one.

“He’s a young player who had played a handful of games for us and I don’t know his situation but it did seem money may have played a big part because he had been playing and I can’t see why he’d want to leave, unless he had a huge offer somewhere else.

“Good luck to him. He’s a great kid and we’ll miss him because you want to keep your good, young players if possible.”

Ngakia left the club on Tuesday when his contract expired but is yet to show his hand and it remains to be seen if there was ever an illegal approach for the West Ham Academy graduate.

The 19-year-old has already been linked to Spurs, Crystal Palace, Watford. Norwich City and West Brom as well as German sides FC Schalke 04 and FC Köln.
