Noble marks cards on Fulham clash

|

Make no mistake the visit to Craven Cottage today is really no easy game despite the south West Londoners being nailed to the bottom of the table.

Worse still they have 40 goals conceded against their names and have already accounted for the first managerial casualty of the season.

However, nobody will take Claudio Ranieri’s abilities nothing less than very seriously and the team need to forget earlier failings when starting slowly against teams that they were fully expected to beat.

Sadly, the Irons options look limited up front and despite scoring three in each of their last three games hitting the net may be an issue this afternoon with Marko and Lucas Perez injured and Andy Carroll just 75 per cent fit.

However, with Felipe Anderson finding the net regularly and the opportunity possibly of leap frogging into the top seven or eight there’s more than enough incentive for the boys to continue their exciting run of form.

Skipper Mark Noble is adopting a balanced approach declaring: “As players, we’re feeling confident after three successive Premier League wins although we’re under no illusions that Saturday’s game at Fulham will be anything but difficult.

“The last time we won four in a row in the Premier League was in February 2014. I recall we were down in 18th spot when we beat Swansea 2-0 and then followed that with victories over Aston Villa, Norwich and Southampton. By the time we ended that run we were up in tenth place!

“The manager sets us up to win in every game we play and Fulham at Craven Cottage will be no exception.”
