Noble on Defoe rumour

|

Mark Noble has been moved to discuss Jermaine Defoe after the former Hammers striker was linked with the a possible move to the Hammers.

The 36 year old is known to fancy a move back to the club – a move that has bene roundly rubbished and dismissed by most.

It’s odd therefore that the club captain should feel inclined to discuss the possibility but instead made it clear his admiration for his striking abilities.

He said: “There have been some stories recently about Jermaine Defoe wanting to come back to West Ham to end his career here.

“I don’t know if that is true but the one thing I’ve always felt about him is that he should have played for a title-winning club in his career.

“His scoring record anyway is phenomenal, but if he had played for one of those clubs, it would have gone through the roof.”
