Noble sends “remember Tevez” message to the fans

|

Mark-Noble-640914Mark Noble has pleaded with the fans to give new signing more time to show their real form before giving them a hard time.

He understands it’s easier for him and other players to say that  explaining: “When you know players as people and you know their ability, you think something will click eventually.”

Mark Arnautovic is an example of the captain’s point where after a poor start he is coming good and giving all to the cause as he knuckles down to life under new manager David Moyes.

Noble explained: “The biggest example here was Carlos Tevez, who took time to settle. Sometimes players won’t come in straight away and set the world alight. Their whole family has moved, it’s a new set of players, a new way of playing and sometimes it’s tough for them.

“Very rarely does a player come in and hit the ground running.

“They might not start well but you still have to stick by them, we have to see them as our ‘own’ and help them — not hammer them.

“Marko got a lot of stick but his goal has given us a 1-0 win over Chelsea.

He also has great sympathy for Joe Hart saying: It’s really tough.  Joe’s a top professional, a great lad and such an asset to our squad because he’s such a good person.

“The manager left me out against Leicester and he has to make those decisions but Joe has a similar attitude to me – the team has to come first.

“I’m not going to chuck my toys out of the pram and be in his office asking why he didn’t play me.

“I’ll let my training do the talking and be there for the players, help them as much as I can and be ready to come into the team when needed. Joe will be the same.”

Nobes is spot on, us fans can have short memories and forget how long it took Tevez and other players to bed in. The Premiership is probably the most competitive league in the World with no time on the ball before getting tackled which can take getting used to.
They’re ridiculously overpaid these days but are still human and need time to get to know the other players and vice versa. There are going to be setbacks but I think we’re close to having a team we can be proud of again, we need to be loud and get 100% behind the team and manager at games, anything else just helps our opponents
