West Ham’s squad is likely to be utilised to the full this season, with 46 League games, plus cup fixtures and – possibly- the prospect of play off games to boot awaiting come May of next year.
As Nuno’s men prepare for their fifth game in fifteen days tonight with visitors Fulham contesting a place in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup, comments made by West Ham’s manager ahead of the tie point to major rotation, with an important (and significant) League game ahead at the weekend.

“West Ham United manager Nuno Espirito Santo has suggested he will make full use of his squad for Tuesday’s Carabao Cup match against Fulham.

As many games as we have, it’s always positive for us to keep playing,” Nuno said ahead of the Fulham meeting. “As long as we use the squad, I think it’s a good chance for the players who have been working very hard every day.”
Which is a pretty clear signal that another opportunity for the youngsters awaits tonight – as in the previous round when the Irons fielded six former academy players in their starting line up and trounced Southampton 4-1.
Lewis Orford, Fin Herrick, Josh Ajala and Airadas Golambeckis all performed admirably in the last round and would certainly benefit for a further chance to showcase their talents tonight against Premier League opponents who have themselves suggested that they could field a rotated side.
