Odds tumble on Allardyce for Sunderland

|

waving sam_allardyce_1528056cSam Allardyce is a 2/1 favourite to become Sunderland’s next boss should the club part company with Dick Advocaat.

The Mackems are bottom of the Premier League and were last night beaten 4-1 by Manchester City in the Capital One Cup.

That result has heaped more pressure on Advocaat, with the Dutchman among the bookmakers’ favourites to be the next Premier League manager to leave his post.

But while that comes as little surprise, the current front-runner to replace Advocaat – in a list compiled by Oddschecker – Allardyce is the 2/1 favourite to be named the next permanent manager of Sunderland.

I think they will go down whoever manages them. Would love it to be the unrelegatable Hippo that takes them down.. That would blow that myth outta the water

  • essexclarets says:

That would go down well in that part of the world.. the barcodes would love it..

  • HamburgHammer says:

Surely Allarydce is too good for Sunderland. Only Barcelona, Real, PSG or Bayern Munich will do. At a push maybe Dortmund. But only if Nolan gets a five year deal and gets to start games regularly.

Couldnt careless where he ends up.He would be a god for a season if he kept them up but the fans would soon get p#ssed off the season after watching his dross.Only difference is the fans against him wont have to listen to ‘We need stability before we move to the OS’ on their forums from the Sammy Lovers 😀

  • SlimJim says:

Potamus Allardyci said he doesnt want another job where he only goes to put out fires. He said he wishes to be more selective & go somewhere he can win things, haha. He wants to break the habit of a managerial lifetime & win some silverware.

    • HamburgHammer says:

I’m sure he could win some silverware if he joined a top club in Iceland. Or Hungary. Or Estonia.

  • essexclarets says:

    • TysonM says:

  • bubs says:

Where ever he goes I feel for the fans unless the Spuds want him,
If he goes to Sunderland and they don’t spend £50 million on new players they will ruin his only call to fame of never leading a club down,
Funny last week he might never manage a club again, well his lucky Nolan can’t find a club,
Carlton has not signed yet and is only playing for fun,
JOB is available ( no cost ) he could out bid Norwich for Jarvis,
There could be light at the end of the tunnel and our cash is looking good with Middlesbrough so far,
