One in one out likely at the Hammers!

|

It seems likely that we will see one in and one out at West Ham following the virtual signing of Rennes defender Nayef Aguerd.

The £27 million attacking midfielder Nikola Vlasic is now being reported as being of interest to  Torino and former club Hajduk Split  with David Moyes ready to loan or sell the player he brought to the club just one season ago.

A new report from Dalmatinski, repeats the Irons are ready to loan the player who joined from CSKA Moscow last summer.

A permanent deal looks more than questionable at the moment given that his record shows just one goal and three assists in 36 games in all competitions – an astonishingly poor return for a guy who was brought in after it became clear that Manchester United were in no mood to allow Jesse Lingard even the chance of considering a return to the London Stadium.

Dalmatinski report that there is interest and that Hajduk want Vlasic to return and are asking West Ham to see if there is any possibility of a loan deal.

However, his most likely option is reported to be Torino – a club coached by Ivan Juric.

The Hammers are highly unlikely to stand in the player’s way who was signed on a five year deal.

Astonishingly poor return seems a tad harsh. 36 appearances sounds an awful lot for such a meagre return I agree but how many of those 36 appearances involved coming on for a mere few minutes towards the end of matches. And he has rarely, if ever, been used in the role he occupies with his national team.

I remember when Fornals first joined us people were saying he was a waste of money. He too was not used in his best role so that he could compensate for weaknesses in other areas. Fortunately he was able to adapt his game to suit Moyes’ tactics. But imo we are still not seeing the best Fornals has to offer because of the role he has to play.

I believe Vlasic is suffering from the same problem.

I cannot help thinking that a switch will trip and Vlassic will suddenly click into gear. He must have more about him than he’s shown us. There are times when you watch him on the ball that he looka a natural. Then…..it’s gone. so frustrating.

So are you saying if he goes we get a replacement in and no other players even though the next article states we are after Dennis from Watford.

We need at least 6 players or even more if we start selling current squad.I can’t believe you are not putting pressure on our board and in particular our new investor over lack of ambition and trying to buy players like JWP who we already know will cost far more than they are willing to pay!

    • WJERE DOES THE ARTICLE SAY “and no other players in” It’s just a headline

One in One out! That’s where it says it Hugh. So far we haven’t even heard a word from the guy who apparently it heir apparent to our club and yet nobody seems to be worried when we hear some of the headlines about our new centre back being our marquee signing even though we had never heard of him before 3 weeks ago and still hasn’t signed yet!
Offering Declan an 8 year contract is just a smokescreen, buy some serious players and offer him 3 year 250 grand a week and maybe he may just stay a while longer!

Sorry for the rant but once again we are on the verge of greatness but deep down we know we will balls it up as normal!

I heard he was wanted by Turin, so why don’t we swap with Bellotti who I know is a freebie but it would go in our favour if the swap was done as a loan to buy in Vlasics’ case

I’m no board lover but let’s get this straight. Sully is a businessman like many owners of clubs and If I was him and watched moyes buy his own choice vlasic for 30mill plus eventually and kral on loan because moyes as usual left it late thinking lingard would come and still trying can you believe so then got these two poor players in then saw how poor they are and hardly played them I wouldn’t trust moyes to do any transfers again. Leave it to ones that know players around the world Newman and promote ex city’s top scout to finish transfers too. Watching vlasic play he does nothing to gain any credit for making our squad better and kral was really poor in his country’s games which surely would have given moyes a huge no thanks. Maybe that’s why we never got any signings in Jan as moyes was trying to make sure he never got it wrong again?

LOL I hope he’s not a virtual signing. A lot of money to spend n out FiFa team? LOL

If it’s one in and one out then we should be expecting another what 2 or 3 in yet before any outs as we managed to get the flops off the wage bill.
If it’s really that we can’t buy anyone else before we get rid of someone then as the song goes:

So gold and Sully, where’s our money

I still don’t know if Vlasic is any good. He has played bits of games all the time, often brought on as a sticking plaster. Apparently he never plays his best position so we don’t see his best. Question is, why not??? Moyes signed him for £30m, he picks the team, so where is the actual problem? Exactly, and that’s the real worry.

  • Trueiron says:

Vlasic has made 19 Prem League appearances for West Ham, 13 of those was as a substitute.

  • Austrick says:

If the Lingard deal is dead in the water then we should keep him and play him in his best position. He has shown some brilliance, though fleetingly.
