The likely departures are stating to mount up as Nuno’s West Ham side goes through its enforced metamorphosis ahead of the Championship campaign which starts in six weeks.

Still without a head of recruitment, the volume of work required for West Ham’s summer rebuild is piling up in the inbox of an office  as yet without an occupant.

High on the agenda of whoever gets the short straw of becoming West Ham’s de facto Head of Recruitment will be the disposal of defender Jean Clair Todibo.

Nailed-on never to play for West Ham again after his own vow made following his early substitution against Newcastle United, Todibo and Nuno have a pretty irreconcilable position and the moment the Portuguese manager was reappointed, Todibo would have started looking for a new club.

Now it seems he may have found a way out of East London, according to French site jeunesfooteux.com :

“Jean-Clair Todibo coveted in Turkey after a troubled season at West Ham”:

“Fenerbahçe is following the situation of the former Nice defender very closely and is working on a loan with a purchase option.

A deal that would allow the Turkish club to limit the risk while opening the door to a final transfer if Todibo regains his best level. For the player, this is the opportunity to relaunch in a club qualified for the Champions League play-offs after finishing second in the Turkish championship.

However, as the report concludes, convincing West Ham to part with a €40 million player on a loan with option might not be simple.

Nuno, for one though, will be pushing to get Todibo out of the door as he did with James Ward-Prowse so it wouldn’t be at all surprising to see Todibo’s exit accelerated as soon as there’s an executive in place to sign off on the deal.

From the old Bobby Moore Upper to the Billy Bonds' stand these days - sometimes- have to admit I have not renewed my season ticket... I've been watching since '03 and a supporter since about 1970..
Favourite player - Dean Ashton: Still watch YouTube repeats of the Cup Final of 2006 hoping in vain that Shaka Hislop grows six inches and stops Steven Gerrard's injury time equaliser. Can tell I'm getting old knowing I saw both Mark Noble's debut and his last game at West Ham.
Pulling on a Claret and Blue replica shirt still makes me feel the same butterflies as when I was seven years old. Magic.
