PAI’s latest statement!

|

PAI Capital issued their latest statement this morning in which the head of the company Nasib Nizami Oglu Piriyev declares how he became a fan of the club he calls West Ham FC – sigh! First mistake.

The second is that in a sound bite world to run a statement to five and a bit pages may just be a tad too much for most to swallow who prefer one of two liners on Twitter or FB.

The third was to start telling the world that he’s tried to buy a ticket offer touts when trying to get into Upton Park for a game.

As amusingly declared by Geo on a Hammers Chat discussion with Gonzo this morning this is a bloke who can’t negotiate to get a ticket on the black market but believes he can negotiate a massive takeover.

The fourth was to start giving us a history of why – AT THE AGE OF FIVE – he understood the position with three West Ham legends – cringeworthy.

Anyway here it is for those of you who are keen to take in teh five and a bit pages

Oh dear. Unfortunate statement if they wanted to try and get West Ham’s traditional fan base onboard with them. they want to attract the wonderfully diverse people, I think is they way they put it, that live close to the stadium. I imagine there was some input from the Ferdinand brothers on that front. This will happen naturally in time anyway when you look at the sixty thousand new homes being built in and around the stadium in the next few years. The whole east quarter project, with the A&B museum , bbc music studios, and the saddlers wells theatre etc all being built close to the stadium in the next few years. But you need to have the Upton Park faithful, the traditional fanbase with you otherwise you’re off to a non starter. Sorry but this latest statement is all pai In the sky as far as I’m concerned.
