Palace away sells out in hours

|

ticketqueueWest Ham sold out their 3,000 away allocation to Selhurst park in a matter of hours this morning.  Sales to priority point holders went on sale at 9am this morning but were sold out just after lunchtime before reaching the 5 priority points sales period at 3pm.

West Ham messaged fans on twitter saying “Tickets for our away game at Crystal Palace have sold out to supporters with six or more Priority Points”

Some supporters with more than 6 priority points have complained they missed out on Palace tickets due to continuing technical problems with the website.

West Ham fan James Addison messaged David Gold, Karren Brady and Ticket master to complain saying “12 points and haven’t been able to get a ticket for palace away. Another Shambles”

Another Fan called Charlie also had problems saying “Someone explain how you get Palace away tickets, I’ve got 8 priority points but not showing on the eticketing site?”

Vic messaged David Gold to say “DG – pls pls pls sort out the ticketing website. Why can’t I book Palace ticket for me and my son? I have enough priority points!”

Other fans have complained they can never have a chance of attending an away game if they don’t get any points for going to away games so it is a catch 22 situation.

Fan Charlie Dell said “Joke mate palace tickets sold out to people with 6 or more loyalty points, cant get an away ticket for love nor money this year”

Ryan Smith said “This priority point system is a joke in my opinion, people who want to start going away games can’t cos they haven’t got any points to start with…”

Demand for away tickets has soared this year due to away tickets being capped at £30 however West Ham are giving priority points to supporters who also attend cup games this season instead of restricting points just to away games.  Points were available to those who went to the two Europa League home games as well as the League cup last night.

Reckon it’s too far to travel anyway to see Tomkins score the winning goal.

I use to get an away season ticket, keep it until my points total was sufficient… then cancel the agreement. I then could pick and choose my away games. Cunning old git
