Paqueta not going anywhere

Some good news to go with your early morning cup of tea, as Lucas Paqueta will remain at the club beyond the transfer deadline.

The Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth was reported as saying: “So, it looks like that one is off for this transfer window, like 100% off now. And look, Lucas Paqueta has actually been playing for West Ham United, and he has started both Premier League games so far.

So, if there was to be a deal, you would think there’s a risk of an injury if they’ve agreed a deal in excess of £80m. So, it looks like he’s going to be staying at West Ham.”

Great news for David Moyes as he would no doubt be keen on retaining the services of Paqueta as he looks to build on his side’s 2022/23 Europa Conference League success.

The midfield maestro  has scored six goals and contributed seven assists from a rather shaky start to his career  for the Irons and is now coming into his own. So  it’s very clear to see why Moyes is keen to retain his services.

It is also well documented that he was keen on a move to the Manchester club , but the events of the  last week has scuppered that.

Nevertheless, he is still a Hammer and judging him on his display last week is still totally committed to us.
