As we all know by now, West Ham United are reportedly close to appointing Julen Lopetegui as their new manager, with the Spaniard set to return to the Premier League after a previous spell at Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Lopetegui inherits a team in need of a major overhaul following David Moyes‘ departure. He’ll reportedly be tasked with achieving a minimum eighth-place finish while overseeing a significant squad rebuild.

The 57-year-old is known for his deep passion for football, a trait that undoubtedly appeals to West Ham. However, there are concerns regarding his on-field conduct.

Journalist John Percy from The Daily Telegraph sheds light on Lopetegui’s sideline behaviour, describing him as a “serial touchline prowler” whose staff “irritated many opposing benches” during his time at Wolves.

Well, I for one think it’s great ! Despite the potential drawbacks to Lopetegui’s fiery demeanour,  it could be a welcome change from the perceived lack of enthusiasm under Moyes.

West Ham fans could be in for a season filled with passion and, perhaps, a touch of controversy on the touchline. Only time will tell if Lopetegui’s leadership translates into on-field success for the Hammers.

Be careful what you wish for. Just ask wolves fans or look at his stats and the results wolves had under him. A lot of games lost by massive goal margins. Then there is also the fact he alienates players such as MGW and Rayan Ait Nouri.

MGW was sold before Lop came in 😂

Nick are you trolling here? Wolves were near the bottom when he took over, and they ended up closer to mid-table before leaving due to a disagreement with the board.
