Payet affair may be set for Fifa probe

|

payetfranceWest Ham may be set to complain to FIFA over Marseille’bid to sign Dimi Payet.

Payet is under incredible self inflicted pressure from our fans since making it clear he wanted out from the London Stadium.

And now the Hammers may be ready to go to the game’s highest body as they seek to discover whether there have been irregularities in the French club’s pursuit of the 29 year old playmaker.

The Midfielder, has been vilified by fans for refusing to play or train since becoming aware of his former club’s determination to re-sign him.

As claims are investigated that the player’s car and home have been vandalised by  fans The Mirror’s Darren Lewis writes this morning that the Hammers believe the whole affair has arisen  from the manner in which Marseille have attempted to do the business.

They are believed already to have made contact with Payet’s camp behind West Ham’s backs, to make him aware that they want him.

The club were bought by American businessman Frank McCourt in October. He has pledged to lift them to the top of Ligue 1 and to make them a force once more in Europe.

West Ham don’t have a great record when it comes to court cases and tribunals, but worth a shot, not just for the Payet case, but in general.
The way a player and his agent are trying to trick the club currently owning the Payet’s contract into selling him on the cheap to his prefered destination is appaling.
If indeed he has agreed personal terms with Marseille behind our back it needs to investigated.
Marseille are acting like a bully and should be treated accordingly.

As soon as McCourt took over OM he wanted a statement signing & it aint no coincidence that Fat Frog suddenly started talking about ‘the project’ at OM & how they were his only love a few months ago.Its all been brewing from the time McCourt took over imho. But if they have tapped him up im sure we aint innocent of doing the same with players. The skunk has just gone about it in a devious way.
    Family reasons my ass 😀

Payet should be prosecuted under the offensive on my eyes act. I reckon his wife does his shopping at Romford Market. She clearly does really hate him.

  • Colin Irons says:

Ha John yes great dress sense no Lol.Let the barsteward rot until the end of the season. If as the club say its not about the money (transfer fee) then show him,as well as other players they can’t just throw a paddy & get what they want.
Who knows we might even get some good press for a change for standing firm.
