Payet discusses his future

|

PayetSingle-minded Dimi Payet has nothing on his mind but West Ham United and the current struggle away from the relegation places.

ClaretandHugh has reported over the last 24 hours that the club intend keeping him at the London Stadium this season.

And Mark Noble in an interview earlier in the week revealed the two have a close relationship and that he knows the midfielder is 100 per cent committed to the Hammers.

Now Dimi has made it clear in a new interview that he intends to help the team away from trouble but has revealed the current battle in having a wearying effect on him.

“West Ham are currently in a difficult situation. It’s costing me a lot of energy. We need to work and ensure we get out of this bad spot.”

He was asked about a move away from the Premier League – or from the London Stadium.

He claimed he ‘hadn’t thought about it yet’, adding that  there were ‘periods made to ask oneself such questions’, which he will do when the time comes.

A diplomatic answer, if we don’t sign any top class players he will be gone at the end of the season or before, he was sold a dream when he joined and bought into it but other than Ayew we couldn’t attract the best players, as Bilic said the solution was to go in early and pay more in wages or transfer fees to get the names here.

Exactly 32, the board have been lack lustre in their naive approach to get the quality in. As far as I’m concerned they took the **** out of Payet and that could be our undoing in holding onto our best players. If Payet goes, don’t think the others like Lanzini, Kayoute, Cresswell won’t think the same. The owners started the rot with relegation now they may take us on the path of excellent players leaving. Their Legacy may start to look dreadful if they don’t turn things around.

The Board took the p*** out of Payet? When did they do this? The owners saved us from bankruptcy and almost complete disaster as the hands of Magnusson and they paid out of their own pocket to get us out of the championship in 2011. Admittedly the transfers in the summer have been proved to be poor but you’re comments are well wide of the mark.

payet was bought when everyone else thought he was passed it or not worth the bother our owners knew otherwise get a grip. i am really sorry for those that think OUR OWN OWNERS are trying to run this club down even if they were as i think not many do trying to do TO WHAT PURPOSE????

We can’t keep putting the pressure on Payet & Antonio. We need a goal poacher, someone to put a match to the wick & we will rapidly climb the table. We have a good squad, the problems are obvious. Get Batshuayi on loan who is hungry to prove himself & belief will return. We aren’t that far behind. Batshuayi wants to make a name for himself & we have an open door for that attitude. There are other teams that doom & gloom are more appropriate for. Not us. Not yet. Still time but we have address what Payet is telling us if we want to keep him.
