Payet labeled a flop in France

|

flopDimi Payet has been called overweight and unfit in French media since his return to France with some saying he is a shadow of the player they witnessed in the European championships in the summer.

French paper L’Equipe has put the boot in further by labelling him a flop after Marseille lost 3-2 to Nantes last Sunday.

L’Equipe say that even though Payet helped make the first goal, he didn’t have enough impact on the match and his set pieces were way off.  They gave him a  low score of 4/10 and listed him of one of three flops in the Marseille team.

Another cartoon in French pokes fun at the French mean suggesting he ate too many puddings at West Ham.    As the saying goes, be careful what you wish for.

He is only showing his true colours again. He spent the majority of his career in France as a nobody and is now going to revert back to type.He had the bit between his teeth last season to get a national team place for the Euros. Now that has been achieved he is going to plod through his career like one of those weebles that wobble but dont fall down (the older guys will remember them lol )

Funny,Marseille fans thought they were getting the player from last year & the Euros & all they have got is a little tub of lard that we had for the last 6 months.25m+ aint looking too bad for a lump of Lurpak now 😁

Put in enough effort to fill his bank balance now his is safe till retirement with his new contract,
Snodgrass gives us so much more plus we have Lanzini to give us something special
You need both worlds in the premier,Leicester proved it last year Chelski are this year,
It was great having a world class player last year but we became a 1 team player this year and he could not or did not want carry the weight ( Legend my xxxx )
From now on a Legend should be someone that give the club more then 5 minutes hype,

You can’t say it wasn’t on the cards … you can not cruise for six months then expect to hit top gears just becuase you want too … I guess we will never know the full truth but ultimately £25m in the bank now is looking very shrewd indeed .. Greame Souness was not wrong … why had no one heard of him before and as Wenger said, too inconsistent for the Premier League …

It aint like we didnt know sooner or later he would turn in to a one man pantomime,he has done it at most of his previous clubs.Anyway he aint our problem now & we seem to have a more united team so who cares what the little snide gets up to in France 😉
Snodgrass might not have the flair but he offers us so much more as a team player.Cant believe some fans thought he was a waste of money & only worthy of the Championship,he is a very, very good acquisition imo.

I saw a fair bit of the game & 4/10 is about right. I saw the thing on here yesterday aboutAdrian Durham on Talksport. Last week he was sneering at Hammers fans who said we were a better team without Payet. Durham is best ignored of course, but tempted to ring him up to see if he wants to change his mind. I doubt you would get through. It just seems to be berks who ring up to say ‘I don’t normally agree with you Adrian, but you are right on this..’ Gripping radio I don’t think, but ok when you are stuck in traffic jams on the way home & can’t find anything else..
