Payet U-turn chances under discussion

|

payetWest Ham believe the chances of Dimi Payet doing a U-turn are about one in ten but remain insistent that he won’t be allowed to leave the club on the cheap.

Publicly the Hammers are insisting that he’s not for sale but in reality the Frenchman appears to have burned every bridge and it would take more than an apology to the fans to put any of that right.

However, every statement coming out of West Ham is that he won’t be sold as the leading figures in this soap opera attempt to leave themselves with options.

It is now well known that there are suggestions of personal issues being involved with him after he had been given time off to sort any problems out.

But the reality is that most have accepted he will be on his way and sources close to CandH have made it clear there is little chance of a reunion between  club and player.

One described it as “one in ten” but the depth of the fans anger is such that even that may be overstating the odds.

Meanwhile, the club will continue to listen to any offer that meets their minimum requirement of £30 – £35 million

Back in the summer when Payet was regularly being linked with a move David Sullivan was quoted as saying: “Am I worried about losing him? No, because he’s under contract.

“There might be six weeks of silliness when he bangs the table. But just because a big club wants him, tough luck.

“He signed a contract and you take the rough and smooth of a contract. Sometimes clubs have got to be tough and stand up and say ‘he’s contracted to us, he’s our player’.

“Just because he can get more money somewhere else he expects us to sell him. Well, we’re not selling him unless someone wants to break the world transfer record and then we might consider it!”

Well the acid test is now upon him – interesting times!

The fans don’t want him any more and I get the feeling the players don’t either I had a niggling feeling lanzini would of been turnt but going by his reaction to his goal the other day his 100% committed to the team we don’t need payet get shot and get our transfer business done although I’m liking us not leaking our transfer plans ect it has now made it very boring as we are also out Tue limelight and all he media can dig up is payet which is rather boring now how close are we to any transfers without naming names hopefully we can get a few players in this week because when we eventually loose you no the media will say we need payet etc which we clearly don’t

Tevez and Payet didn’t want to play for us in the first place but both turned out to be short term heroes.imo I want players who play with their hearts and show passion,a great example is Antonio and previously di canio, don’t care if they make mistakes because they care,so good riddance to Payet the damage is done, cash in I say, then we can all move on to adore the players who deserve it. COYI !!!

His personal issues are rumoured to be he was unfaithful to his wife, I don’t care how long he rots in the reserves I am for making it difficult for him to teach him a lesson. The press will die down eventually especially when the window closes. Let him stew for the rest of the season see where we are in the summer.

  • Rick Deckard says:

He can do all the u-turns he likes…after this debacle the rest of the team will not welcome him back into the fold…whats done is done and no apology will make up for it..

He’s a goner one way or another…but for the sake of football he must taught a lesson and punished otherwise others will follow suit, not if but when !

hes packing his croissants as we speak !

Talks with Marseilles have broken down according to the Mirror and Independant they wanted him on the cheap and have got nowhere, not sure why they bothered flying over perhaps they thought with the pound dropping against the Euro they could get him even cheaper…
