Pelle on the Marko ‘injury’

|

Manuel Pellegrini was keen to downplay the Marko Arnautovic injury scare after the 2-0 win over Birmingham City ensured we enter Round 4 of the FA Cup.

After the player had given the Hammers a perfect start with a headed goal all looked set fair with him and winter signing Samir Nasri calling the shots.

But once again the fans had their hearts in their mouths as Marko departed the action and we will await further news of the situation over the next couple of days.

The last thing on earth we need given the still average form of Andy Carroll and the worries over Perez’s is for Marko to be missing for a tough encounter against Arsenal next weekend.

Pellegrini seemed confident however that all was well and seemed keen to send out an assurance when discussing the situation on the official club site at www.whufc.com after expressing his delight at the victory.

He said: “Marko felt a pain in his back and at the beginning he wanted to recover, but he could not continue.

It was not good to take a risk as he has just returned after an injury and he played 90 minutes less than 72 hours ago and 65 minutes in the other game, so it was good for him not to continue.

There is no problem and he scored a goal!”

This little tantrum is the start of it ..after what his brother \agent said he is fishing for a move to one of the big club’s…. You can see it

Agree – it did not seem like he was upset with the “injury” but upset about being taken off.

I’m not one of the conspiracy theorist’s generally- but does anybody else think Pelle just played Arnie for 20 minutes in order to “Cup Tie” him – and therefore, does that mean he’s moving on to one of our main threats for the FA Cup (Chelsea or Manure)!!! I hope i’m Wrong – I love Arnie in our shirt – #Coyi

Turns out there was no injury so he would have been upset to have been taken off. Pure misunderstanding. The club has clearly stated there has been absolutely NO interest shown by ANYONE.
