Pellegrini delighted as season tickets sell out

|

The Hammers have this afternoon announced that all 52,000 Season Tickets available for the forthcoming Premier League campaign have been sold.

Ninety two per cent had been sold last month and the remainder have now been snapped up by those on the waiting list.

Manager Manuel Pellegrini and joint chairman David Sullivan were both delighted with the boss saying:”“I already knew West Ham was a huge Club with an incredible fan base and supporters all over the world.

“I am told we have more Season Ticket Holders than any other club in London and that is something we can all be proud of.

“I know very well that the West Ham fans are always behind their team. I want to thank all those who have shown their faith in the team, my staff and I to entertain them with the kind of football and results that their incredible support deserves.”

And Sullivan added: “Yet again, our magnificent supporters have shown they are the best in the country,” said Mr Sullivan. “To have completely sold out available Season Tickets weeks before the new season kicks-off is testament to their unrivalled backing of the Club.

“For the third season in a row, we will have 52,000 Season Ticket Holders backing us at every home game.

“There is a huge amount of excitement surrounding the Club at present following the appointment of Manuel Pellegrini as manager and this has been reflected in the demand for Season Tickets.”

Due to the record number of renewals, some supporters on the Waiting List have not secured a Season Ticket for 2018/19, but they remain in pole position to secure a seat at a future date. To join the Waiting List click here.

As I’m on the waiting list I was contacted twice to take up the offer of a ticket. Much as I’d have loved to go for it, especially at Wrinkly Rate (pensioner), I could only afford to come to London from Worcester four or five times a year and it wouldn’t be fair on the club. Really glad it’s 100% – I just hope everyone turns up. COYI!

Why join the ‘waiting list’ when the club appear unable to give those currently on the list their current place? It would also appear that some fans have been offered ST’s without actually being on this mythical 50,000 waiting list. If the waiting list isn’t a scam designed to rip yet more money from the fans, then at best it’s being administered extremely poorly (quelle surprise).
