Player’s agent talks up West Ham as move looks increasingly likely

West Ham need a Crysencio Summerville replacement as soon as possible. Following the winger’s departure to the Middle East, the Hammers have been shown up as being one dimensional in attack without pace: Not a good way to start the promised promotion push.

Sunderland’s Simon Adingra might be occupying the blogs and the media posts this morning as a possible transfer target for West Ham, but he is clearly not the only one on the Irons’ shopping list from recent reports.

In the middle of speculation over West Ham’s  likely transfer moves in the last weeks ahead of the Championship season kicking off, top winger transfer target Manor Solomon’s agent has been quoted as making some pretty thinly veiled hints, linking his client with West Ham. Speaking to Sport5.co.il about his client making a move this summer:

“We’ll see what happens in the coming days,” says his agent, Shlomi Ben Ezra. “Manor wants to play football, to be a significant player. I believe that will happen in the coming days. I believe that he will play in England in the coming year, most likely.

“Manor is not supposed to be a regular player at Tottenham, at least in the near future. If I were a Tottenham player, I too would aspire to reach a club where I am part of the squad. That is the goal. A football player’s career is short, and Manor has been in Europe for eight years, and wants to be a factor.”

And then came, as they say, ‘the kicker’:

He just needs the right place for him. West Ham is a huge club. [Fellow Israelis] Yossi Benayoun and Eyal Berkovic were also there.”

Specifically naming West Ham and fellow countrymen Benayoun and Bercovic, the agent is making a very plain hit as to the direction of travel for Solomon. If his career is as successful as the duo, it’ll prove to be a pretty decent transfer.
