Player Watch on Hernandez

|

Javier Hernandez came under CandH reporter Danny Leach’s PlayerWatch microsope this afternoon on a day when he chose to shame himself with a shocking dive.

17 – Plays a poor pass on the edge of the box which no one comes to receive it

25 – He is caught offside after coming back to receive a through ball from Snodgrass

36 – He is booked for making a poor attempt of a dive in the box after taking a heavy touch from a Lanzini through ball

70 – Attempts to switch the play to Fredericks who can’t receive the ball as it goes beyond him

90+4 – Hits a very poor cross with his left foot which rolls straight to the Cardiff defence

Verdict – 3.5 – He was one of worst performers today on an afternoon where the Hammers were not at it from minute one especially after a very sloppy start. While there was a lack of service for him, he made many simple mistakes when called upon which are not expected by a player of his quality. His attempt at diving in the first half was also poor to say the least. Overall it was a very shoddy display in attack where we managed only two shots on target all game.
