Poll result: Should technology be introduced?

|

West Ham fans have voted overwhelmingly in favour of new technology being introduced after a series of hugely controversial refereeing decisions.

The Hammers will have to appeal Chek Kouyate’s red card after what appears to be another against Crystal Palace.

And afterwards David Gold called for technology telling ClaretandHugh: “Nobody wants to see this and it is happening to us week after week.

I have called in the past for a third ref in the box and it has to happen – surely. At the moment the referees have two assistants and in the majority of cases they all seem to be coming to the same conclusion on incidents which I frankly don’t understand.”

We ran a poll asking our readers whether technology should be introduced and a massive 90.38 (883 votes) said yes; 8.6 per cent (84) no and 1.02 (10 votes ) “didn’t know or care.”

A nationwide poll would probably produce similar results. But we are only the fans, the lifeblood of the game. What does our opinion count to the mandarins on their gravy train?
