Amazon have won Round One of the battle with Sky!
ClaretandHugh followers believe that the coverage of the first games for which they have been responsible this week were superior to the service supplied by Rupert Murdoch’s broadcasting organisation.
And there can be no doubt whatsoever that it’s a better deal for ALL fans to have the matches in which their own clubs are involved streamed en bloc over chosen weekends.
A CandH poll revealed that 52.17 per cent of the near 1,000 who took part believed the coverage was better than Sky’s with 47.83 saying it was worse.
The next round of matches for Amazon come on Boxing Day and it will be interesting to see what Round 2 brings as the fans become more used to the new service.
