Poll: What will the Liverpool v West Ham result be?

|

West Ham have only recorded one win at Anfield in their last 45 top-flight visits (D12, L32), a 3-0 victory in August 2015. The last time before that was 1963!

Liverpool were unbeaten at Anfield last season in the league (W12, D7), scoring 45 goals and conceding just 10 goals.

The Hammers have lost their season-opening Premier League game on 11 occasions, more than any other side.

Manuel Pellegrini has suffered four Premier League defeats to Liverpool, more than against any other opponent. He has also lost all three of his league fixtures at Anfield – twice against Brendan Rodgers and once versus Jurgen Klopp.

Bookies make Liverpool the odds-on 1/4 favourites for a home win, you can get 5/1 for a draw and a massive 13/1 for a West Ham win!

As West Ham face the trip to Anfield to face Liverpool on Sunday lunchtime in their Premier League opening game we ask whether we will win, lose or draw tomorrow in our weekend Claret and Hugh poll.

Interesting poll Sean I went for a loss, hope otherwise of course.

  • Stratford E20 says:

Loss for me. Over the season, I expect better football and to be entertained by West Ham. I don’t expect major improvement in overall league status. maybe 8th or 9th at the end of the season.

Starting the season off at Anfield is always going to be a big ask… so expect the worse and hope of the best.
