Oof I am hoping the large majority of voters are wrong, I am feeling deluded but have gone for a very optimistic 11 -13th and Moyes to sail the leaking boat to safety.

I’m afraid I can’t see us staying up. DM has said the right things and training seems to have been stepped up a gear so despite initial reservations I think he is doing ok. The players (well some of them) on the other hand…….

    I really hope I’m wrong.

Player movement in the Jan window will be too little too late.

The upside of relegation will be the departure of passengers (DV). Sadly it will also mean the departure of talent 🙁

Before the Watford match, I’d have said we’d end up comfortably mid-table but now I’m just thinking the best we can hope for is to escape relegation.

While the team certainly put in a little more effort against Watford (at least there were more metres of ground covered) and kept their shape for most of the game, we had no meaningful presence in midfield. This meant there was less opportunity to maintain pressure on the Hornet’s defence when we were attacking and no opportunity for relief when they were attacking. It all just underlines what a loss it was that we weren’t able to bring Carvalho on board in the summer.
