With the coronavirus pandemic closing the Premier League down for three months, the 2019-20 season only finished on July 26.Liverpool won the Premier League title in 2019-20 and now the fixtures for the new season, which starts on September 12, are set to be revealed at 9am on Thursday morning

The new Premier League season will kick-off on September 12 and with almost a month lost compared to normal it promises to be one of the most hectic ever.

We will discover first thing whether the leaked first day fixture which alleged that the Hammers would entertain Liverpool at home bears anything near reality.

The Hammers have been unlucky in previous seasons on opening day when for example last year Manchester City were the opposition.

Tomorrow all will be revealed as the Premier League returns on a near back to back campaign to last season.

Manchester City and Manchester United will not play on the opening weekend to allow them extra rest having reached the latter stages of the Champions League and Europa League respectively.Manchester City lost their Champions League quarter-final to Lyon on Saturday night

Manchester United saw their Europa League run come to an end in Sunday’s semi-final. The late finish to both Manchester clubs’ seasons mean they will not play on the opening weekend

Former Hammer boss Slaven Bilic will be particularly excited having led West Brom back to the top league at the first attempt whilst Scotty Parker too will be anticipating Fulham’s start to the new campaign.

Clubs meanwhile are remaining hopeful that October will see fans allowed back into stadiums on a socially distanced basis which, were it to happen, would see the London Stadium with around 20,000 inside.
