Premier League results offer Hammers hope

|

Premier League results couldn’t have gone any better for West Ham United this evening, with Nottingham Forest, Bournemouth and Leicester all losing.

David Moyes can now put serious daylight between West Ham and the other relegation threatened clubs by beating Newcastle United at the London Stadium, but the reality is that a draw would not be a bad result either.

Leeds defeated Nottingham Forest 2-1 at Elland Road whilst Leicester City also lost to midlands rivals Aston Villa by the same score-line. Leicester and Forest are now the only two Premier League clubs without a win in the last 5 games, and are only separated from bottom club Southampton by AFC Bournemouth.

The Cherries also lost at home to Brighton but their form is significantly better with two wins in their last five outings.

David Moyes is sure to be buoyed by the sequence of results and now has the chance to exert serious pressure on our relegation rivals with two games in hand .

Connoisseur of salted caramel doughnuts and I love a Sloppy Giuseppe pizza although I'm slightly suspicious where the name came from.

When I'm not moaning about West Ham I can be found walking a dog that looks like a sheep and tinkering with pinball machines.
