Qatarstrophe runs into another huge problem

|

It’s really no surprise that Qatarstrophe runs into more and more problems and according to one outlet  the recently announced booze ban is set to cause Fifa hugely expensive issues in 2026.

Banning alcohol just days before the event opens when one of the main sponsors is Budweiser, smacks of madness and desperation which will hit the fans,

On top of everything else, the promise that beer and other drinks would be available at all eight venues has now been broken by Fifa who gave way to the awful Qatari authorities who insisted on the ban.

And there is worse to come for the confused and disorganised Fifa bosses whom The Sun claims will face demands that they knock off £40 million from the fee to be official sponsors at the 2026 event.

That would take their fee down to £55 million. Meanwhile the outlet claims fans will be able to get a pint in the official World Cup site in Doha City centre but that it will cost the £12 for what is actually less than a pint in the largest glass at 500ml.

This truly is a horrible little event which goes from bad – a devaluation of the word in fact – to absolute worst.
